Washington Corrections Center for Women is a medium, minimum and close level facility in Gig Harbor, Washington housing 738 female inmates. The facility opened in 1971 and offers academic internships, chemical dependency counseling, transition planning, tutoring, creative writing, diversity awareness, HIV⁄AIDS education, speech classes, theatrical movement, meditation, and staff aids. Girl Scouts of Western Washington offers the Girl Scouts Beyond Bars Program, where offender mothers act as leaders to provide craft and educational projects for their daughters.

In March of 2015, the facility hosted its first TEDx in Prisons event, "Does Gender Matter?"
